Sharing is Caring.

This image is decorative. It shows a hand holding a red cut out paper heart. On the heart is a hand drawn smily face. In the heart's wake there are stars and swoosh lines. This image represents how it can feel to give a recommendation or referral that works out.

Think about some of your favourite cafes or restaurants. Or maybe you have a brilliant plumber or electrician.

Now think about how it feels to share one of those with someone you care about.

You don’t share your brilliant plumber with just anyone. But when someone you know needs a plumber, and the project sounds like a perfect fit, you share your plumber’s details.

You don’t share your favourite coffee spot with just anyone. But when you hear they love a coconut milk cappuccino, you know where to send them. But maybe that’s just me!

From the other side, how does it feel when you have someone, or somewhere, recommended to you? When you go to that doughnut place and (oh my) you wish you’d found it sooner?

Sharing really is caring.

And I know what I’m asking you to do here is not trivial; it matters. It matters to you to share people and places you trust and believe in. It matters to share them with people where you think they’ll be able to trust and believe in too, because they’re in the right place and at the right time.

That’s what I’m asking you to do – when you hear that person talking or see what they’re trying to do and you know I’m a good fit to help them, please do introduce us.

THANK YOU FOR INTRODUCING PEOPLE TO ME.

I’m building my business with help from people I share trust with. People who’ve done programmes with me before, people I’ve worked with before, and friends. People who know the kind of work I do and how I do it – and who it’s a good fit for. People like you.

If you know someone who would benefit from my kind of support, and you’d like to refer them to me, thank you!

Here’s a really simple way to refer them to me.

🌿 Who I work best with

I work best with people:

  • When life and work just don’t feel right any more, and there isn’t a clear next step.
  • Who want to change their work so that it aligns better with what they want in life, and better embraces their strengths and values.
  • Are ready for honest reflection, practical change, and support as they figure things out.
  • Prefer working 1:1.
  • Value depth, clarity, and creativity.

People who come to me often say things like:

  • I’m not sure what the problem is to be honest.
  • I’m in a bit of a funk.
  • I’m trying to work out my next steps and I don’t know what to do.
  • I’m in the middle of trying to make changes in my life but I feel stuck.
  • I’ve kind of reached a crossroads… I need change to happen.
  • I’ve tried a bunch of stuff, but I never seem to get anywhere.

In these situations, I’m ideal.

🤝 How to refer someone

👉 Just send them this link, and tell them why you thought of them: Here’s the link to refer someone.

✂️ Or use this message if you want something easy to copy/paste:

Hey, I thought of you for this.
Lou helps people redesign their life, work or business so it fits who they really are.
I’ve worked with them and found it really helpful.
You can book a free discovery call here: https://loushackleton.com/introductions/

Feel free to sprinkle in any extra details about what you specifically found helpful, and what it’s like to work with me.

👣 What happens next

If they click the link and book a call, I’ll have a relaxed 30-minute chat with them to find out what they’re looking for. We’ll see if I can help: there’s no pressure to sign up. And I won’t spam them or share their details (just like I won’t share yours).

If we’re a good fit, maybe they’ll go on to work through one of my programmes. If I know someone who is a better fit for them, I’ll signpost them on. Maybe they’ll get what they need in just 30 minutes.

🙏 Thank you

If someone joins one of my programmes through your referral, I’ll thank you with something small. To do that, I will need your email address and your physical address – my thank yous are often physical, tangible objects. You can let me know those here.

You’ll also get an ‘Ask me anything’ voucher – a free 30 minute slot just for you – as long as I know that you referred someone and they went on to join a programme. Drop your details in that same form to make sure you get that.

And in the meantime, here’s a calming playlist (on Spotify) for whenever you need it.

Thanks so much for sharing my work with the people you care about.

🫶🏻 it really means the world to me.
